Breakfast with Rainbow in the Air

A celebration of breakfast food and human rights.

Food is universal and it connects us all, regardless of one’s origin or gender or sexual orientation. This is a project uses food as a media to convey the message that we are all human longing for a life full of happiness. Imagine in the morning of the day of a country legalized gay marriage, on the dining table there are staple breakfast foods of the region. The morning seems no difference than others except it may fill hope in our hearts, it may be celebration in the house, it may end a lifetime of waiting. Starting with six locations, the series of photos take viewers through a breakfast tour to different places on the day they finally have the rights they deserve. It is a celebration of the human right victory, the staple breakfast food of different regions and the simple joy of having food in the morning.

10 % of the profits of this project goes to Heart of Dinner, founded by the amazing couple Moonlynn Tsai and Yin Chang, the organization launched the #LOVINGCHINATOWN Covid-19 relief efforts initiative to counter the racism and isolation the Asian-American immigrant elderly have been experiencing throughout the pandemic.
